REUTERS -- Dark Knight Joins $500 Million Club
The last $100 million is the hardest. The Dark Knight yesterday became only the second movie in MovieHollywood history to gross $500 million or more. It now stands within $100 million of toppling Titanic as the biggest-ever film at the domestic box office. Elsewhere, Tropic Thunder made it three wins in a row at the weekend box office, with a $14.3 million four-day, holiday take, per studio estimates today from Exhibitor Relations. The Dark Knight's estimated Sunday gross of $3.3 million put the Batman movie over the $500 million mark only 45 days into its release, per Box Office Mojo stats.

Talons clinch Central Division with 64-41
SportsThe Iowa Barnstormers (6-10) finished out the 2008 regular season with a 64-41 loss to Tulsa in front of a record-setting crowd of 10,512 at Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield field Saturday night. The crowd came out in force to show their support. The Barnstormers end the 2008 campaign second in the af2 in average attendance, behind only the Spokane Shock. The first quarter started off with the teams matching each other score for score. Iowa struck first with a Jeff Glas field goal. Tulsa's quarterback John Fitzgerald hit Kellen Allen in the end zone for the first of two touchdowns. The Barnstormers kept pace with a second Jeff Glas field goal and a Joe Brannen touchdown strike to Robert Kilow. The score at the end of the first quarter was tied at 13. The Talons clawed their way to a 31 point second quarter scoring five times.
