Pottery
Purple Glaze Studio has hundreds of unfinished ceramic pieces to paint… bowls, plates, mugs, candleholders, vases, picture frames, and critters! Or choose from one of our many mosaic projects. Purple glaze studio creations make a great personalized gift. For the creativity challenged we will hold your hand throughout the whole process. We have stencils, sponges, stamps, and a computer generated idea center to help you with design ideas. Typically, our customers will paint with an underglaze. The piece is then left at our studio to glaze and fire. This process makes each item food safe and dishwasher safe and normally takes about three days. This method is recommended for plates, cups, bowls and other items that will actually be used. As another option, Purple Glaze Studio will provide an acrylic stain and spray sealer for the ceramic project. By using this method, students may take their work with them when they leave. Stains work very well on our critters, dogs, cats, monkeys, birds, dragons, frogs, lizards, and fish. There are hundreds of pieces to choose from and group prices start at $5.50 in our studio.
Mosaics
Finished mosaics can look complicated, but mosaic techniques are simple to learn and many projects are quick and easy to do!
Group Functions
A great activity for date nights, church gatherings, scouting, campfire groups, childcare providers, and school organizations! Purple Glaze Studio provides paint, brushes, smocks and a cool ceramic critter…in our studio or in your classroom!
Parties - Team Building - Field Trips
The STUDIO FEE is $6.00 per visit and with unlimited time includes the use of our brushes, tools, idea center and instruction. Our POTTERY PRICES include the ceramic, paints, glazes and firing.
