The Creek Council House Museum was originally built in 1878 and served as the capitol of the Muscogee, or Creek, Nation. It housed their executive and judicial branches of government and the Creek civilization sprung up around it. Today, as a museum, it houses artifacts and other collections that trace the history of the Creek people from Georgia and Alabama to Oklahoma. The museum also hosts exhibitions of native arts and crafts. Admission: Donations accepted

Hours: Year-round Tues-Sat 10am-4:30pm
