Harper Re-Signs With Oilers July 18, 2003
The Tulsa Oilers of the Central
Hockey League announced today that defenseman Regan Harper has agreed to a one-year contract with the team. In his first season with the Oilers, the veteran from Birch Hills, Saskatchewan appeared in 20
games during the 2002-2003 season after coming of an early-season injury. Harper scored one goal while adding eight assists."I feel much better than I did last year and am in the best shape of my career,"
said Harper. "I felt cheated on a personal and team level last year and I am looking forward to playing from day one." Harper has played with five different teams in two different leagues. His career
numbers are 349 games played, 202 points on 113 goals and 161 assists. He also racked up 283 penalty minutes. "We are very excited to have Regan back in Tulsa," said Oilers Head Coach Bruce Garber. "He
brings a tremendous amount of experience and will be called upon to stabilize our defense corps as well as provide leadership for our younger players." |
